The results of the study revealed the varying responses of the different body parts to the experimental perturbation of the InR pathway. Genitalia was unaffected while wing length responded significantly but moderately (2%) and horn length was affected significantly (8%). Analyzing these results, what could be the underlying reason/s why some traits deviate in their responsiveness to the insulin/IGF signals?
