Week 7 Discussion
Part 1 will be about experimental research. Part 2 is based on the SPSS book and revolves around basic descriptive statistics. Answer both 1 and 2:
- Describe an experimental study that you would like to do. What makes this an experimental study? What is the independent variable? What is the dependent variable? What are the effects that you expect to see in your study?
- Complete either the happiness example or the couch/treadmill example from the SPSS workbook. Paste the descriptive output into your posting (this must be included to show you did it). What is the output from your chosen example? Describe some of the findings that you are able to make sense of (e.g., frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, minimum, etc.).
