Evaluating Your Selected Sources

Re-watch the video below which was posted earlier in this module.  After you have watched the video again to refresh your memory, complete the exercise below.

 

List the complete MLA citations for the three database sources you are using for your research paper.  If you are using more than three, select three which are not all from the same database. 

 

Using the 5 W’s and the evaluative criteria presented in this module, evaluate the quality of your sources.  In addition, evaluate your sources from the standpoint of Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose.

 

Remember that for your research paper you need 3 database sources from at least 2 different databases.

 

Don’t forget to

 

Copy and past the citations for the sources you find from the database as it is generated for MLA8 format [and provide the URL if the database doesn’t provide one in the citation; it’s in the web address for that citation]

Write an evaluation for each of the sources/citations that you provide
