There are three types of speech that are protected and upheld by the US Constitution and the US Supreme Court. There are also three types of speech that are NOT protected.
Identify the three types of speech that are protected, and the three types that are NOT protected. Explain and discuss the differences, and use examples.
Do not include the freedom of the press or freedom of religion. That is a whole different discussion!

The U.S. constitution, specifically the first ten amendments, provides a guaranteed protection of rights and freedom of every person. One of those rights and freedom that a person can enjoy is the freedom of speech. Each person has the freedom to speak and express. While this is so, there are some limitations. There are speeches that we can freely speak and express while there are speeches as well that are prohibited.
