All About Love Ch 11- Ch 13

Chapter 11

In our culture, death is so revered that it gets in the way of love. We don’t openly and readily complain about living with lovelessness. The fear that we shall all die causes a great deal of anxiety, stress, and worry. Worshiping death as a coping mechanism for our underlying dread of death’s power does not provide true peace. We become more terrified as we observe spectacles of pointless death, arbitrary violence, and cruelty.
