Dewey’s Creed
After reading through Dewey’s statements of belief about the school, please complete the following:
DUE March 9th: rewrite one statement from each PDF (three total). Don’t tell us which ones you are interpreting, just rewrite each in your own words and then post each one into a different reply. – These should not be rewritten word-for-word substituting one word for another, but you should be rewriting them in your own words and demonstrating that you understand what Dewey was trying to convey to us.
DUE March 13th: let’s do something similar to what we did with Froebel, reply to the following:
- Read your classmates’ replies and try to guess which statement they are rewriting. Do this at least THREE different times, with three different classmates.
- Don’t forget to go back and let your classmates know if they guess correctly on yours or not.
We will talk more about Dewey in our check-in/alternate assignment this week.
