Martin E. P. Seligman’s “Can Happiness Be Taught” explores serious answers to the key question regarding the possibility of teaching others to be happy. Seligman asserts that teaching people to be happy is possible. He argues that those children in the experimental study can testify that one can teach others to be cheerful and pleased. Based on the experiment, Seligman (2004) claims that none can teach others to be disheartened and unhappy at things (p. 80).
