In operations and supply chain management (OSCM), technological developments have resulted in the emergence of varying software packages. These are offered by companies with the promise that they can help strategize and manage complex supply chains. Three software packages will be analyzed to better understand how these offerings can differ. Firstly, there is a software called SAP SCM, which utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and boasts clients like Microsoft. Secondly, it will be Blue Yonder (JDA) that specializes in inventory planning and execution. The last software is referred to as Oracle SCM merges both blockchain and the internet of things (IoT). Although these three software packages offer a more efficient way for OSCM, they do target different customers and possess features that set them apart.
