Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is one of the brain disorders that affect the patient’s memory, ability to think properly, and later on, the patient’s ability to carry out simple tasks (National Institute on Aging, n.d.). Many individuals believe that Alzheimer’s Disease only affects older adults. However, this condition can also be acquired by individuals in their 30s, although these cases are quite rare. Although age is one of the most common risk factors, other several factors can be attributed to the development of Alzheimer’s Disease, such as family history, head injury, cardiovascular disease, and even Down’s Syndrome. In many studies concerning this neurologic condition, experts have always been focused on the treatment aspects of the disease while many other aspects are left unexplored. Alzheimer’s Disease is more than just a brain condition.
