It is no denying that Americans do want a national health care, considering how expensive the medical costs are in the United States (US). Although there is demand for it, it is clear that there are bureaucratic difficulties in the implementation. The US lags in its health care fulfillment, being the last developed country to focus on universal health care (Taylor & Stanton, 2021, p. 328). The demand for a national health care is seen through the proposal of various frameworks such as the American Health Care Act (AHCA) and Affordable Care Act (ACA) or also known as Obamacare. The main advantage of the Obamacare is the fact that it focuses on being able to provide the most affordable health insurance, with the exception of individuals who are unable to afford it (Obamacare myths, 2017). By proposing these things, the national health care paves the way for low-income earners to be able to afford medical care. Consequently, if someone were to be hospitalized, they no longer have to fear being bankrupted.
