DB 2: What is your Philosophical Health?

Question

DB 2: What is your Philosophical Health?

Go to the website TPM (The Philosopher’s Magazine) at http://www.philosophyexperiments.com/health/Default.aspx Complete the exercise called “Philosophical Health Check” which is designed to measure your “Tension Quotient” or the amount of contradictory beliefs you might have.

See how your results come out and discuss these results in a paragraph or two. You might consider discussing whether you do in fact have contradictory beliefs as the website suggests or whether the questions are just improperly worded. If you agree that you have some tension in your beliefs, how might the contradiction be resolved? Should you change your belief? If you disagree that you have a particular contradictory belief, discuss how your beliefs can be reconciled. Be sure to provide brief details of the beliefs that were found to be contradictory so that everyone will know what you are referring to. As part of your response, you may copy and paste those beliefs from the site if desired.
