DB 11 What is God?

Question

DB 11 What is God?

Part I: Go to The Philosopher’s Magazine (TPM) website: http://www.philosophyexperiments.com/god/Default.aspx (Links to an external site.)

Read the directions for “Battleground God” and when you are ready to start there will be a link toward the bottom of the page (“If you are ready to start, click here.”).

After finishing the questions, get an “Analysis of your Performance”. Pay attention to the “Analysis of your direct hits” which can be found by scrolling down. Write down how many hits or bullets you get.

Part II: First of all, discuss what the properties of a perfect being are (i.e., What is God –or Jehovah or Allah–?). This could be a discussion of what you believe are the properties or attributes of a perfect being OR this could be a discussion of what many believe are the attributes of a perfect being.

Next, answer the following question: Does God exist? If you say “no”, then answer how you know this to be true. (What reasons?) If you say “yes”, then answer how you know this to be true. (What reasons?) If you say, “One cannot know”, then answer how you know this to be true (What reasons?) Be sure to list how many bullets or hits you received. You may want to mention one of the hits or bullets you took and how this ties in with the question about God’s existence.
