Infant/Toddler Observation Assignment

Question

For this course, one of our Student Learning Outcomes is “Identify quality in early childhood programs related to environment, curriculum, and teaching strategies.”  We address this objective with three observations of early childhood settings:  Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and Elementary School.  For the first Observation Assignment, we will review a series of videos of Infant and Toddler classrooms that serve children from birth to age 3.  Links to the videos required are provided below.

The paper is divided into four sections.  It is recommended that you work on Section 1 in week one, and Sections 2-4 in week two.  (The paper is due at the end of week two.)  Please carefully review the assignment requirements before beginning the paper.  (I have provided the assignment in Rich Text Format (RTF) so that you will be able to type your responses directly into the assignment document.  If you have trouble with RTF files, you can create a document for your observations and analysis, using the headings and sequence from the original assignment, (the instructions do not need to be included).
