1. A thief steals an ATM card and must randomly guess the correct 4​-digit pin code from a 11-key keypad. Repetition of digits is allowed. How many possible pin codes are there?
 

 

2. If you know the names of the remaining 4 students in the spelling​ bee, how many ways are there to order all of those remaining students?

 

3. How many ways can 5 people be chosen and arranged in a straight line if there are 10 people to choose from?

 

4. A classic counting problem is to determine the number of different ways that the letters of “mathematics” can be arranged. Find that number. 1 

 

5.  There are 10 members on a board of directors. If they must form a subcommittee of 6 members, how many different subcommittees are possible?
