Corporations and small businesses are struggling right now to keep their businesses afloat while keeping their employees safe.  The article below, although a bit outdated, brings up some good points.  Please read the article below.

  1. What are the 6 things for HR to consider?
  2. A pandemic was declared in early March 2020.  After this declaration, what did most business do to keep their employees working?
  3. What effect did this have on workers?  On companies?  On the economy?
  4. A small construction business that employees about 35 people were classified as an essential business, as outlined by the CDC even though they did not have essential work.  Many workers were quite upset and decided to ask their boss to reconsider this since none of their jobs were essential and they feared for their health.  If you were the owner of the company, what would you have done?  List 3 reasons as to why you would’ve made that decision.
