Is It or Is It Not? – Safety Group 2
In this small group activity, you will have an opportunity to apply some of what you have learned about the role and responsibility of early childhood educators in preventing and/or protecting children from child abuse and/or neglect. Each group has been assigned a case study found in the file below this one on Canvas.
Together:
- Decide whether the child is potentially being abused or neglected
- Identify physical and/or behavioral indicators
- Describe how you would proceed with the information collected from your observations
- Explain how you would support the child and the family.
You group may choose to work synchronously (via Conference, Zoom or Skype or telephone) or asynchronously (in the discussion below). In either case, you must post your final response to the assignment no later than May 2nd. You must work together to receive credit for this assignment.
