  4. Discuss domestic abuse. What is it? Are there different types of abuse? What are the symptoms?
  5. How prevalent is domestic abuse? What age group does it affect most? (You may need to do your own research outside of our textbook for this info.)
  6. Does time help abusive relationships improve?
  7. What did you learn (new or that stood out to you) in researching the information for this discussion? Please share with us!

  2. What kinds of issues do we need to consider when we think about choosing a marriage partner and potential co-parent? How might this decision impact our lives?

  4. Does sharing the same religion help improve a couple’s chance of a happy marriage?
  5. Discuss the impact of divorce on adults and children.
  6. Did you learn anything new on this topic that stood out to you? Please share with us!
  7. What do you consider to be the take home points from this topic based on what you learned in the text (and from experience if you wish to share) and how might you be able to apply this learning to your life?

Remember that main posts should always connect your thoughts as they relate to the discussion prompt with concepts, ideas and theory from our main textbook. Doing so demonstrates your understanding and ability to integrate concepts in a meaningful and scholarly way. See Discussion Guidelines for information on how to cite properly in-text and how to cite references in a discussion post.

**Please remember that this is an academic forum and therefore, your responses should be appropriate and well presented for a college level course.**
