Threaded Discussion: Logic Reasoning in Trifles

Question

Considering Glaspell’s short play “Trifles, ” does logical reasoning or lack thereof play a part in the character’s attitudes and the play’s action?  Please share with the class an example of any of the following: 

  • inductive reasoning
  • deductive reasoning
  • specific rhetorical strategies–process, definition, exemplification, cause & effect
  • logical fallacies
