Answer the following questions:

  1. Define Euthanasia and define Assisted Suicide. How are they different from each other? (20 points)
  2. Mr. Davidson stated he wanted to “die with dignity.” Should Mr. Davidson’s treatment be stopped as he wished? What do you believe should be done? Should the staff withhold further treatment? Why or Why not? You must explain your answer. (40)
  3. Mr. Davidson can expect to have further struggles with illnesses such as pneumonia. Do you believe it would be ethically/morally acceptable for a doctor to euthanize or Using one of the ethical theories covered during the semester (utilitarianism, 3 deontology, virtue ethics, etc.), explain and defend the reasons you give to support your answer. (40 pts.)
