Chapter 17 Small Assignment

Option 1

Write a short essay speculating about the following questions:  For most people, the goal of sex is to have an orgasm.  How might our sexual lives be different if the goal were different? (0.5 points) What might sexual encounters be like if we truly abandoned orgasm as a goal? (0.5 points) Would they be better or worse? (0.5 points) More varied or more methodical? More intimate or less? (0.5 points) Why? (0.5 points).  (0.5 points will be given for proper formatting and academic writing, including page length and proper grammar).

Option 2

Attend the “Pleasure Advocacy: A Sexual Wellness Model” talk on Friday, May 21^st via zoom from 8am to 10am.  [There is a $10 registration fee for this talk, and you must register here to receive the zoom link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pleasure-advocacy-a-sexual-wellness-model-tickets-150976347319 (Links to an external site.) ]. After attending this event, and write an essay in which you briefly summarize what you learned/experience at the event (0.75 points) and in which you share your own reflections (thoughts, comments, and questions) related to this event.  In your reflection, include a discussion of how information from this workshop was related to concepts from Chapter 17 and/or the sex therapist guest lecture (0.75 points).  In this assignment, there should be more reflection than summary (0.75 points).  (0.75 points will be given for proper formatting and academic writing, including page length and proper grammar).
