In the past, critics have frequently charged that there are very few differences between the two major parties. Is that true today? What do you think the Republicans and Democrats said they stood for in the nineties? Has it changed? How and why?

Discussion 4 –  Political Parties Answer

There are very few differences between the two major parties in America and it all revolves in how they are similar in some points but wording it differently. For instance, abortion and death penalty are two controversial issues in America wherein the Democratic and the Republican Party have different views. The Democrats support abortion but a majority of them oppose the death penalty.
