2 Identify the key components of a job description  and why they are important (Textbook).

3) Find and attach your job description from your employer.  If you do not have one,  find one that is similar to your current or ideal job. 

  1.   a) Is the job description  an accurate reflection of the work you performor the work you would like to do? Why or why not?
  2.   b) Overall, is it a good or poor job description? Explain your answer and be specific.

1) Define the following terms and explain how each one is used when creating a job:

  1. a) Job Design: it refers to the organization of tasks, duties, responsibilities into a productive work unit. It affects the process of job creation because job design can influence job performance especially in jobs wherein employees could easily influenced by work factor.
  2. b) Job Analysis: it involves identifying the content of a job in terms of the activities and tasks it involves. It also include the requirements or attributes that are necessary to perform these tasks or activities. It is used to determining the human requirements of a job in which jobs are performed.
