One of the most impactful literature I have read was Martin Luther King Jr’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail”. This piece, which was an assigned reading from a previous course, is both interesting and insightful mainly because its message continues to remain relevant today as it was years when it was written. The struggle and attacks on our values, the injustice and the inequality in our society remains as prevalent. This is evident in the rise of racial discrimination and violence  towards the African American community and more recently with American Asians.
