Should parents attempt to reduce the structured activities in which their children engage? Why or why not? I think that the lives of children nowadays are already less structured that in the past. They have access to gadgets and the Internet, which exposes them to different ideas and perspectives. When they share what they learn in the Internet to their parents, the latter might experience cognitive dissonance when the content knowledge is opposed to how they were raised.
