I agree that though sports drink could be beneficial for people who do intense workout, we still need to consider the cons.  An article from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2021) explained the pros and cons of fitness waters. The Growing Up Today Study II, which followed approximately 4,100 females and 3,400 males for seven years, discovered that the more sports beverages were drunk, the stronger the link between an increased BMI and overweight/obesity, especially in boys.
