“It is better to study major international languages like English rather than to spend time on minority languages for the sake of regional identity.” Do you agree? What would be the benefits and detriments? What would be gained and what would be lost? Write a meaningful answer that fully addresses the question above.

I do not agree with the above statement. Language is the gateway to a culture. One can only understand the richness and meaningfulness of a cultural heritage through their language. By learning the language of the minorities and ethnical groups, one will be able to engage in a dialogue. And when one is able to engage in a dialogue, one will be able to understand the context of the culture. One will be able to realize that the minority culture is not at all obsolete or outdated. One will be able to realize that their culture is never inferior considering the richness of the heritage.
