Assignment 7 Answer

A social institution is an interconnected structure of social roles and norms that fulfill a critical social need or function. Social Institutions are centered on basic social needs and organized patterns of ideas and conduct. In line with this, our perspective and understanding concerning race and racial groups can be broadened through appropriate classification and acceptance of society’s role. These specified roles must not intertwine to promote prejudice, judgment, and discrimination among races. Racial and ethnic categorizations in the community are influenced by historical, social, political, and economic factors.
