What, if any, solutions are there to combatting poverty? What do you think the reason is poverty continues to exist in the US?

Poverty can mean different things to different individuals in other parts of the world, but it is generally described as not being able to afford a basic living level. Despite recent years of economic recovery, the United States has made significant headway in tackling the problem. The problem has further worsened in some aspects. Even though the economy has added millions of jobs since the recession ended, many new jobs are not the same as those lost. Poverty has been exacerbated in many areas as a result of the recovery. Poverty is one of the most persistent issues, with implications that can last a lifetime, be passed down through generations, and loom large in the thoughts of those living on the border of poverty.
