Because competitive activity finds its way into so many different aspects of modern American life, consider how it affects the way people think as well as the way they live their everyday lives.

Are the assumptions presented by Catherine Latterell about competition true or are they exaggerated?

Discussion–Competition 1 Answer

I agree with Latterell’s assumptions about competition namely: Assumption 1: Competition is part of our DNA (182), Assumption 2: Competition makes us better (184),  Assumption 3: Competitions Define Winners and Losers (188).  Competition is part of every human’s life because it is the motivation that makes people work hard and aim for a better life.
