Using the language of the theories covered in these chapters, discuss:

1. the relationship theory that best explains your perception of the mate selection process.
2. the necessary ingredients for a healthy relationship

 I am always a firm believer of equality in any form of relationships or society as a whole. Thus, it is the Equity Theory that resonates with me better than other relationship theories. This theory posits that the motivation to get into and stay in a relationship is the fairness of costs and gains on both sides of the relationship. It is the equality in contributions that keeps people or persons together. It is not to say, though, that you have to always keep tabs on what you are giving or what you are receiving in a relationship. It does not mean that in everything you give, you should always expect the other person to return it to you, one way or another
