Quiz 8 Answer

Describe the three original hypotheses for the origin of the moon. What did each predict about composition of moon rocks? What model do we now accept and why do the moon rocks support this hypothesis?
Your Answer:
The three original hypothesis for the origin of the moon are sister, daughter, and pickup. The sister states that the paired mass condensed with Earth, with both separate masses to begin with. The moon rocks should have same composition with that of Earth’s.
