What is strategic human resources management, and why is it important to organizational success? How does it integrate to the HR competencies?

According to John Bratton (2005), strategic human resource management involves the “process of linking the human resource function with strategic objectives of the organization in order to improve performance” (p. 37). This means that strategic human management includes HR actions and decisions that consider not just the processes and objectives of human resources but also the overall mission and goals of the organization
