Discussion 16 Answer

There are different ways of contrasting and comparing essays in academic writing. The two methods that are discussed in the video were the block method and the flip-flop method. The block method is used when comparing both expounds the subject in a paragraph and contrasts similar aspects in the succeeding paragraph. On the other hand, the flip-flop method focuses on one aspect of the topic and the same aspect of the other subject within the paragraph.
