For this week’s discussion, I certainly think that there is no point behind forcing academic institutions to align their curriculum to job market trends. While I understand Carnvela’s perspective that the goal of these institutions is to create effective and knowledgeable students, I do not think that this can be attained by this move. There is, after all, so much more to learning aside from merely being able to follow guidelines and practically apply the lessons. More than anything, education is about creating well-rounded individuals that are fully capable of adapting to changes
