Week 7 discussion Answer
I would like to discuss the application of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in detecting HIV for us to appreciate more its use and importance.
We all know what HIV is and how it has become more prevalent among the youth nowadays. Due to the increasing HIV cases among 16 to 18 years old, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) suggested the screening of HIV among this age group especially those who engage in risky behavior thereby predisposing them to a higher risk of infection.
