Principles of Paired Factors

At least two components represent a trait in a diploid organism. The two components are located at the same locus on two homologous chromosomes. They could be homologous (e.g., TT in the case of pure tall pea plants) or heterozygous (e.g., Tt in the case of hybrid tall pea plants) expressions of the same trait.
