In a response of at least 250 words, identify a theme (Schlib and Clifford 80 and 183–184) that you see beginning to emerge so far in Act One of Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992. Ultimately, your argument should make an interpretive claim (see Schlib and Clifford, Chapter 3). Think of your own Discussion Board post as potential body paragraphs that you could adapt for Essay 2.

Featuring the riot era in Los Angeles, Anna Deavere Smith highlights some of the most impactful social issues in the communities during this time in 1992. Among the most sensationalized events that led to the riots was that of King’s road side arrest where he was shown to have been brutally treated by police officers. The anger and frustration among the people that came from this event has created a boiling situation that has given birth to the riots. In this solo play, Anna Deavere Smith certainly touches certain points that still resonates impact on the way the American society sees the meaning of racial disparity and inequality that exists in the country.
