Writing assignment: Ethics of Care

In 500 words or more (no less), argue whether the Ethics of Care is a teleological ethical system or a deontological ethical system, support your claim. You may use examples, but you will still need to include a full scholarly definition of each, with commentary. You may use any scholarly source other than a dictionary, to include online video lectures. You may use Wikipedia as a starting point, but be aware that Wikipedia is not a scholarly source and therefore can never be quoted in your paper. You will need to include in-text citations in your essay (last name, date, pg#) along with an APA formatted References page. You can find tools and examples of APA citation formats at the Purdue University Online Writing Lab.

Writing assignment: Ethics of Care Answer

Argue whether the Ethics of Care is a teleological ethical system or a deontological ethical system.

Ethics of care, often known as care ethics, is a feminist philosophical stance on morality and decision-making that takes a social and context-bound approach. The term “ethics of care” encompasses views about the nature of morality as well as normative ethical theory. The ethics of care perspective is not designed to be absolute and indisputable, in contrary to ethical theories that focus on principles to highlight moral actions, such as Kantian deontology, utilitarianism, and justice theory.
