Discussion C: Ethical Ambiguity Answer

The branch of ethics known as meta-ethics seeks to determine the utility of ethical language. Cognitivists believe that ethical language has meaning, implying that everyone should understand what it means to be good. Non-cognitivists believe that ethical language is subjective, implying that only a few people can understand what is good.

 

Aristotle proposes that happiness is the ultimate goal or good for humans in general, and that happiness itself is living in accordance with reason and virtue.
