Module 4 – DQ #1 Answer

The women’s suffrage movement in the United States (US) has caused massive changes in the empowerment of women. It was found that the movement was founded to go against the general belief of white men that giving women the power to vote would somehow “undermine” society, as it was expressed in the video by History (The 19th Amendment – History, 0:33). The video further extended that the emergence of Elizabeth Stanton and Lucretia Mott in 1848 helped propel women’s suffrage by inviting the Seneca Falls convention (The 19th Amendment – History, 0:48-0:52)
