Journal 1: Writing Sample Answer

The author begins the story with letters who are written by a man who is named Robert Walton. The purpose is still unknown because the author did not introduce the background of Walton to the reader. The mysterious guy is still unknown for the first few letters. However, the words revealed themselves as the story progress. The man that Walter saved was Frankenstein. This was revealed when Walter discusses how he does not care about the life of others for the sake of science which Frankenstein answered “Are you so far gone that you don’t care about human life anymore? If you knew my story, you’d never feel the same way again” (Shelley et al., 2008).
