We are now at the point in the novel where we get to hear the story from the Creature’s point of view. What do you think of his perspective so far? Do you ”feel” for him? Do you sympathize/empathize with him at all? Think about everything he’s had to deal with and learn on his own so far. Put yourself in his perspective and identify 2 situations he describes and explain how you would have handled those situations.

In the Novel Mary Shelley “Frankenstein”, most readers anticipate that the monster would be violent, coarse, inhuman, and barbaric. However, as the story progress, the narrative shows that the monster is sensitive, intelligent, and can feel emotions just like humans. The monster knows what love and empathy are. This perspective of being different and disgusting is introduced to the reader when the monster is portrayed by Victor. The descriptions such as shriveled complexion and watery eyes suggest that the monster is a horrifying creature
