Discuss an innovative way to reintegrating low-risk sex offenders* back into the community. What type of support, training, counseling, or other services would you suggest? Be creative and as specific as possible.

*Low-risk offenders include but are not limited to people who: were engaged in a consensual relationship with a minor (18 y.o. offender, 16 y.o. “victim”); caught streaking; caught urinating in public, caught having consensual sex in a public place like a park or beach.

Sex offenses are dangerous to the community. It puts people into dangerous situations where their safety and peace are affected. Daily, we hear news about sex crime victims, and this continues to rise. Sex offenders, low-risk or high-risk, are still given the chance to change. Through effective interventions, they can reintegrate back into the community. Lower-risk sex offenders have a higher chance of changing.
