The opioid crisis in the United States of America continues to devastate different social, economic, racial, and public health aspects, affecting various individual lives across the USA and creating different detrimental effects to the American society. According to Saloner et al (2018), 64,000 Americans died from opioid overdose in 2016 alone, which became one of the leading causes of death in the USA.
