In California, capital punishment should not be used.

While the majority of the world has abolished the use of the death penalty, there are still justice systems within the United States that continue to impose it as a form of punishment. As it has always been, the death penalty continues to become the center of the debate. Supporters argue that it reduces crime rates and deters criminals from killing. Opponents, on the other hand, argue that there is insufficient evidence to support such claims.
