The Legislative Branch Answer

In this article, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) called on the House leadership to discipline Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) for making an anti-Muslim remark. In a gathering, Boebert allegedly joked that a staff was rushing to reach the elevator and when she looked to the left, she saw Omar. She joked that there is nothing to worry about because she is not wearing a backpack. She joked about Omar being a suicide bomber. Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Republican lawmakers already denounced the act. Boebert also already reached out to Omar and issued a public apology.
