Social Movements Answer
Social movements refer to the group or assembly of people that was organized and formed to work toward a common goal or objective (Little, 2016). They are not an ordinary group or assembly of people because of the nature of the goal they are trying to pursue. Social movements are formed to pursue a change in the society, resist a change being implemented, or provide a political voice for those who have been oppressed, marginalized, and neglected in the society (Little, 2016).
