The unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election

The Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election documentary film narrates the story of what appears to be politically maneuvered presidential election. It tells the struggle of power to keep and put people in power. The story was particularly focused on the State of Florida. This is because Florida was the remaining state who had not yet registered the number of votes for the presidential candidates.

  The documentary Unprecedented is all about the unusual 2000 US Presidential election. Then Vice President Al Gore, the candidate of the Democratic Party, won the popular vote, but still lost the presidency to then Texas Governor George W. Bush of the Republican Party. Said election was decided by the election results in the state of Florida. This event raised many issues about the foundation of American democracy.
