Sex Offender Myths Answer

Are all sex crimes really sex crimes? Discuss an activity that might be considered a sex crime even though it is not necessarily deviant.

Yes. I believe all sex crimes are real sex crimes. The moment a person is sexually harassed, assaulted, or made comfortable due to sexual comments, it is already a sex crime. An example of a sex crime, although not necessarily deviant, is obscene phone calls. Although no physical sexual advances are made, it puts the receiver in an uncomfortable position to hear obscene comments. It also puts the receiver in an unsafe situation, especially if the caller and his whereabouts are anonymous.
