All About Love Ch 7 – Ch 10 Answer (B)

These chapters talk about the existence of loneliness and isolation which play a major role in being the cause of depression and despair in today’s world (p. 105). The reality that the world has been driven into putting more value on material things than on things that truly matters has brought about some distortions to values and morals. It is very sad that the world has instilled into the minds of the younger generation that the more materials things and wealth you have, the more power you have to make things happen and have whatever you want to have.

All About Love Ch7 – Ch10 Answer

Chapter 7

Materialism produces a narcissistic world where the main focus is on acquisition and consumption. Isolation and loneliness are major causes of sadness and despair, and they are the result of a culture that prioritizes things over, people. The perfect growing environment for material hunger and overconsumption is intensely spiritual and emotional deprivation in our life. Liberation is a profound realization of the truth from which there is no turning back. Following the Vietnam War, Americans were persuaded to give up their ideals of freedom, love, and justice in favor of materialism and money.
